The opinion of the court was delivered by Appellant Steve Hicks seeks to withdraw a plea of nolo contendere to a charge of first degree murder and have this court vacate his sentence of life imprisonment. The basis for his motion in the district court was that the court accepting his plea failed to advise him as to the consequences of such a plea and that he was misinformed by his attorney. He argues that he should have been informed that he would not be eligible for a parole for fifteen years.
